CRM 4.0 Administration Console

Release 1.2 contains two utilities, focused on the administration of Users and Security Roles. Supports Intranet, Internet and CRM Online deployments. Following is a short description of the two utilities and their functionality:

Compare and Create Security Roles

  • Get all roles filtered by Business Unit.
  • Export and save all roles and associated privileges as an XML file.
  • Quick select of roles via users (select roles assigned to a user).
  • Create new role equivalent to the union of a collection of roles.
  • Create new role equivalent to the subtraction (difference) between two collections of roles.
  • List privileges for the union of a collection of roles. Results are displayed or saved as XML or CSV file.
  • Compare two role collections. Each collection is the union of a set of roles. Results are displayed or saved as XML or CSV file.
  • Roles can be mixed and matched across business units.

Grant and Revoke Security Roles

  • Get all roles and all users filtered by Business Unit.
  • Export and save all roles and associated users as an XML file.
  • Export and save all users and associated roles as an XML file.
  • Quick select of roles via users (select roles assigned to multiple users through AND or OR operations).
  • Quick select of users via roles (select users who own multiple roles through AND or OR operations).
  • Grant a specific set of roles (and revoke any other) to a set of users, based on a template user.
  • Grant a specific set of roles to a set of users.
  • Revoke a specific set of roles from a set of users.
This release is in alpha stage mostly for lack of testing in various and diverse environments. Any contribution by the community in this sense will help move it to the beta stage.
